
RUQAIYA KHAN
TEYC is founded by Ruqaiya Khan. Ruqaiya’s career working with children and young people spans over 30 + years. Ruqaiya main focus is with the Early years and working with families and children. Ruqaiya has completed her Childhood Practice degree from the University of Glasgow along with a range of relevant training and qualifications in early years from Scotland UK. Starting her career as a volunteer and over the years she has advanced in several roles within the sector to senior management position within early years sector.
Ruqaiya is also a trainer and carries a wealth of knowledge and experience in delivering workshops, trainings, mentoring students, and providing positive parenting skills over the years. She has been delivering various childcare programs in Scotland, England, Ireland, UAE, Pakistan and India. Ruqaiya delivers her sessions confidently and fluently in English, Urdu, Hindi and Punjabi.
She has a strong passion for Children learning through play, children’s wellbeing and promotes the understanding of this along with various other topics such as child protection, play in early years, children and wellbeing, diversity in play and understanding cultures, behaviour that challenges and many more.
Ruqaiya within her career has worked with students, staff, volunteers and with families from diverse communities along with several organisation across the globe in providing various sessions in Early years. Ruqaiya has a strong willingness to share her knowledge and practice to make a positive impact on young children in early years.
